DAY 01 : JAYAPURA-ARRIVAL (D)
Arrival at Sentani airport of Jayapura, met by our guide then transfer
to your choice hotel for overnight stay. Dinner will have at hotel's
restaurant.
DAY 02 : JAYAPURA - SOGOKMO - ANJELMA (B,L,D)
Early wake-up call. After breakfast then transfer to airport for
your 45 minutes flight to Wamena. Upon arrive at Baliem valley airport,
then drive 40 minutes to Sogokmo with accompanied by your guide,
porters and cook. Along the trails, you will meet local people in
their activities and yet the scenery is very beautiful around. In
the afternoon you may explore the traditional villages and learn
about the people way of life. Dinner and stay at local guest house
of Anjelma village. (Walk approx. 3 hours).
DAY 03 : ANJELMA - WUSEREM (B,L,D)
After breakfast, you are proceed to descend the steep hill down
to traditional hanging bridge across Baliem river. Today's walk
is a little harder with narrow and slippery paths. But you may also
enjoying the nature's beauty by stopping in the small river of Mugi
to get refreshing while the cook serving lunch. After this part,
trek thru Dani gardens and some local traditional house till Wuserem
where you will have dinner and overnight stay. (Walk approx. 5 hours)
DAY 04 : WUSEREM - WESAGALEP (BL,D)
The next morning after breakfast continue trekking to Wesagalep
village. You are proceed to cross a river where you may have lunch
and refresh yourself in the river. The way to Wesagalep village
from the river will pass a small rain forest and the air will be
a little humid. Dinner and overnight at church or local house of
Wesagalep. (Walk approx. 6 hours)
DAY 05 : WESAGALEP - TANGMA (B,L,D)
Leaving Wesagalep village in the morning after breakfast descending
a very steep hill all the way down to Baliem river gorge. Spectacular
scenery, gentle local people, and beautiful terraced sweet potato
fields you will see on the way down. Lunch served by the cook near
Baliem river. After crossing the hanging bridge, the uphill trail
leads you to Tangma, the next village. Dinner and overnight in a
guest house of the local priest of Tangma. (Walk approx. 5,5 - 6
hours)
DAY 06 : TANGMA - KURIMA - SOGOKMO - WAMENA (B,L,D)
After breakfast, continue the last trek day back to Sogokmo climb
through Hesegem mountain and down to Kurima before arriving to Sogokmo
where the car will take you back to "civilization" of
Wamena. Dinner and overnight at Baliem Pilamo Hotel. (Walk approx.
5 hours)
DAY 07 : WAMENA - JAYAPURA (B,L,D)
Breakfast at hotel, then transfer to airport for your flight back
to Jayapura. Upon arrival at Sentani airport of Jayapura, direct
visit of the WW II memorial sites and lake of Sentani to see the
local tribe life in the village. Lunch at Yougwa restaurant in the
side of the lake, afternoon continue to visit the Museum of anthropology,
market or leisure in the beach. Late the afternoon back to hotel
for overnight stay and dinner.
DAY 08 : JAYAPURA - DEPARTURE (B)
Breakfast at hotel and proceed to airport for Depart to the next
destination. End of services.
